Gael is the main character of 'The Tale of Gael'. We follow him on his journey.
Early life
From a young age Gael helped on the farm in Eswik. The farm belonged to his father Bois. Although he liked working with plants, Gael didn't care much for producing product. Gael was much more drawn to the part time of his mother Mearys, gathering and domesticating wild herbs. He and his mother studied the plants together. Gael wanted to become a researcher. Time and misfortune made that dream stay unfulfilled.
On her deathbed his mother makes him promise to leave the farm. He does relucantly and when his mother eventually dies he starts his preperations.
Departure
During during Gael does his preperations. When fall begins he leaves his ancestral home, his brother Leanhan and his brothers wife Serah behind. He travels north.
